INFO LE PARISIEN. Mayor (SE) Hervé Chevreau announced this Thursday his intention to file a complaint after the tree was cut down with a chainsaw during the night of Wednesday to Thursday. The tree was a tribute to the young man who was a victim of the Barbarians Gang in 2006.

According to CCTV footage, the incident took place around 2 a.m., while the park is closed from 10 p.m. to 9 a.m. The olive tree in tribute to Ilan Halimi was the only one targeted, supporting the theory of an anti-Semitic act.
